Introduction to the Biotech Industries

In this 1-day workshop general tasks and responsibilities of a project manager in biotech industries are illustrated. Here prospective project managers already experience their future challenges and beyond that useful solution strategies and management concepts are mediated to the participants. These strategies will be instrumental for solving problems in leading positions in biopharmaceutical areas. Through an informative – interactive programme participants receive information on important aspects of GMP compliant pharmaceutical production, risk management in biotech industries and modern management strategies.  

The main target of this workshop is the delivery of advantages to participants, which can be supporting in application and interviews for jobs in pharmaceutical industries. An interactive programme prepares scientists for essential aspects of biotech project management and transfers numerous background information and advices to master challenges in biopharmaceutical production successfully. 

The Trainer
Dr Grote-Westrick studied biochemistry at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB), followed by diploma thesis at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. After completing his doctorate at the RUB and the Yale School of Medicine, Dr Grote-Westrick worked in industry at various biotech companies in different positions. He has been Head of QA at B.Braun since 2013.
