Description:

Privacy notice: Once you have registered for this course, further organisation will be handled by Dr Manuel Nagel, Translational Neuroscience. Your name and email address will therefore be passed on for registration purposes.

Contents Main topics:

* Basics of fMRI signal (BOLD response)

* Preprocessing of fMRI data and experimental design for task-based MRI

* Individual (first-level) analysis of fMRI data

* Group (second level) analyses of fMRI data, ANOVA Models, multiple regression models

Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully completed this module will have acquired insights into the basics of fMRI acquistion and anaysis. Different experimental designs will be discussed. An exemplary task-based  dataset will be analyzed including preprocessing, single-subject and group-level statistics. The use of such techniques in psychiatric populations will be discussed. As an outlook, we will touch on opportunities of informing such analysis by computational modeling.
