Job perspectives in Pharmaceutical Industry: how and when to best apply for positions

During the seminars, Prof. Erb will introduce the possibilities in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industry for PhD Students and Postdocs interested in pursuing a career in industry.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Introduction to the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Which jobs are available in Pharmaceutical Industry
  • How to best apply for a position
  • Application and personal interview
  • Checking each personal CV
  • Self-consciousness and self-reflection
  • Hands on training of personal job interviews

Trainer

Prof. Dr. Klaus Erb studied Biology in Würzburg and was working as a junior group leader at the Center for Infectious Diseases in Würzburg on infection-induced immune modulation. For the last 16 years he has been working in research at Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals in Biberach Germany as laboratory head and project leader. The focus of his research is immunology and development of drugs for the treatment of respiratory disorders and cancer. He participated in the development of drugs, which are now on the market-from preclinical research to clinical development.

The Zoom Link will be sent to the registered participants one day before the seminar.

Note: Registration of GSLS doctoral researchers has priority to non-GSLS participants.
