Please note that this lecture is mandatory for all PhD and MD students of the GSLS.
This lecture is usually offered as part of the Welcome Days Events. Additional lectures are only offered in exceptional cases.

Content:

  • Basic principles of responsible conduct of research
  • Development and worldwide implementation of these principles 
  • National and international regulations and guidelines
  • Categories of research misconduct
  • Individual stakeholders, (societal) groups and organizations involved – their roles, interests and specific regulations, in particular those of the University of Würzburg
  • Institutions and procedures dealing with misconduct

Goals and competences:

Participation in the lecture should give you the knowledge of the principles of good scientific practice and the ability to put them into perspective, reflect on them and apply them.
