Introductory Part and Pitch Session

The short project presentations (“Pitches”) will give you the opportunity to present yourself and your project to your peers with the aim to increase both the social and professional network.

Instructions on project pitches

  • Time per pitch: 5 min in total (~3 min presentation and 2 min discussion)
  • Please include the names of your thesis committee on the title slide and whether you are an MD (medical doctoral) or a PhD candidate
  • Include one slide about yourself, e.g.:
    • Who are you, where are you from?
    • Why have you decided to conduct a doctoral thesis and why in Würzburg?
    • What are your main (personal) interests?
    • What is special about you?
    • Do you have a vision/long-term goal?
  • Include some key information about your project:
    • Background
    • Research question
    • Important methods
    • Overview on project plan

! Important ! Your project pitch should NOT be a comprehensive scientific presentation but rather serve as a basis for establishing new contacts and increase your network. Use your time slot to give a short introduction about yourself and about important key facts of your project, so that your peers remember both you and your project.

DEADLINE: Please send your project pitch as a Powerpoint presentation to juliane.fiebig@uni-wuerzburg.de until 9th May!!!
